Data Analysis Intern

San Francisco Part-time and Full-time

The Data Analysis intern will work with the engineering team to shape and analyze the output of our machine learning models. They will prepare raw unprocessed electrocardiogram signal data and translate it into machine readable data to power our algorithms.

Activities include:

  • Annotate and clean unprocessed ECG data into machine-readable formats
  • Analyze the results of new data as it processes through ML algorithms
  • Identify new sources of ECG data and collect for analysis
  • Manage overall dataset and propose improvements
  • Help to form partnerships that allow SafeBeat to access and broker data to other companies
  • Work closely alongside engineering team & CTO

Candidate Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled full-time in an undergraduate program, or enrolled full-time in a graduate program (M.S., M.E., MBA, Ph. D., or M.D.), pursuing a degree majoring in a scientific, business, technology, engineering, or law related field
  • Candidate must be legally authorized to work in the United States and not require sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1-B status) now or in the future
  • Candidates should have strong oral and written communication skills
  • Able to work individually, as well as, part of a group, with curiosity and flexibility
  • Possess a “can do” approach, and courage to speak your voice and suggest innovative ideas
  • Interested in working in a small startup environment
  • Familiarity with ECGs, medical workflows, and software product development is beneficial
  • Experience with python is beneficial
